We met Tuesday March 2. Present were Talitha and Larry. This summary is from Larry's notes.
Agenda:
Non-profit status progress – no news
Staffing plan – discussed some alternatives and agreed that our ideas would evolve as we move forward, but that it seems likely that we will want to hire a director sometime around the time that we apply for a Second Chance Act grant around the end of 2010.
Starting a reentry initiative
I propose we begin following the advice published by the National Reentry Resource Center Starting a Reentry Initiative and use that advice to guide further development of our business plan
1. Encouraging Collaboration among Stakeholders
We agree to initiate a stakeholder analysis:
STAKEHOLDER

IMPACT/
RECOURSE
DESIRED OUTCOME
DEMAND FOR ESIGNATURES
PRIORITIES/ ENABLERS
CONCERNS/ BARRIERS
VALUE PROPOSITION
STRATEGY FOR ACTION
Who are the people who will be affected by what we want to do?
Who will draft notes for this row in our table?
How can this group affect, positively or otherwise, what we want to do?
What specifically do we want this group to do with regard to our initiative?
What did they say they were interested in during initial meetings?
What is important to these stakeholders?
What other factors might enable these stakeholders' participation?
What are these stakeholders worried about?
What other factors might inhibit these stakeholders' participation?
Does what we're doing offer any specific benefit(s) to this group?
What do we plan to do to influence/ achieve the desired outcome?
